To ensure availability, the best time to schedule your session is well before your little one is born. This way you can rest assured that your newborn photo shoot will occur within 2 weeks of birth, the very best time to get the sweetest photographs! Let’s make sure that we have your session on the calendar before the birth so that you don’t have to think about it once the baby is born.

When you book before baby's birth, we will tentatively book you in for 10 days after your due date, so that we can be sure that you are on my calendar. As we get closer to your due date, we will reach out to you to make sure everything is on track. Once your baby is born and you are ready to go home, all you have to do is let me know within 24/48 hours, along with baby's weight and from there we’ll schedule a definitive session date and time within the first 7-14 days of your baby’s arrival. It doesn't matter if your baby arrives before or after the expected due date, we will work with you to make it a completely hassle free experience. Once you book your newborn photo shoot session, you will receive a detailed client guide, which will answer all of your questions.

Because it's impossibble to know when a baby will arrive, I don't hold openings for newborn shoots on weekends.

The studio is open on Saturdays for maternity and milestone shoots. However, these spots are often booked months in advance.

Absolutely! Photographing your little one surrounded by family is an incredible experience for everyone involved. You will need to book the Essential Package or above.

Your session may take between 60 minutes to 2.5 hours, depending on the type of session you book. We pause to allow times for feeding and changing. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable and the pace of our session will be determined by the baby.

If I have an opening in my calendar I am happy to accommodate. We will work with you to make time. :) I do newborn sessions within 7-14 days after birth. Depending on baby's weight and other factors, we may have a bit of flexibility with this timeline, but not much. The next opportunity for a photoshoot will be when baby is at least 3 months old.

Your session will take place in my private and cozy baby photography studio, located in 1010 Polytek Street, Suite 35 in Ottawa. Just bring yourself and your little bundle of joy. The studio is fully stocked with all the necessary props, toiletries, and other essentials to keep you comfortable throughout your session.

I do! In my studio you will find a large supply of hats, headbands, and wraps that we can play with. All of the props and items used in the photoshoot are provided at the studio!

I want you to feel comfortable so I suggest wearing clothes that you can move freely in. I also recommend soft toned, solid colors, avoiding loud prints and patterns so that we can keep the focus on the baby. Some clients prefer a white top + jeans, others go with a light and airy look with soft and muted colours. My recommendation is to wear neutral tones like beige/creme to help create timeless photos. The client guide has all of the information you need, along with example photos so that you can find some inspiration.

No, the cake isn't provided and will need to be brought in.

After your session we’ll discuss when you can expect your photographs to be available for viewing in your online gallery. All of the photos from your session will be uploaded to an online proof gallery for you to view. You'll choose the photos you want fully edited, and get your final photos once they're ready! It takes approximately 3 weeks from the day we receive your selected photos for us to complete your edits.

You will receive your proof album within a few days of your photoshoot. Your fully edited photos will be delivered to you in approximately 3 weeks after you've selected them.

I never force kids/toddlers to pose and partake in the shoot. It's best to capture them in their natural moment. While I'll do my best to help them cooperate and have fun during the session, I won't push any boundaries. It's important to manage your expectations accordingly.

Extended family members aren't included in any of the packages. However, they can be added-on for $50 per person.

No problem. I can send you a privacy contract that will ensure that your photos remain private.

You are expected to have selected your edits and have downloaded your photos within 90 days of your photoshoot date. Editing is not available after this period. After the 90 days, your photos will be deleted from our system as I simply cannot keep them indefinitely.

The deposit is not refundable. Rescheduling requires at least 7 days notice prior to rescheduling. Cancellation of a booking requires a 2 week notice.

Yes, you will choose your own edits from an online gallery sent to you after your shoot. Some packages include the proof gallery (unedited photos). You may also purchase extra edits and the proof gallery as an add-on.

Maternity photography is best taken between 28-35 weeks of pregnancy.

Currently I am not offering outdoor sessions. All my sessions take place in my studio.

Yes, you may purchase a gift certificate for a specific package or a denomination of your choosing.

Yes, I offer a 10% discount from the total price if multiple packages are booked together. :)

Yes, pets are family! They are covered as part of packages that include family members and can participate in the shoot. :) Just keep in mind that the studio is a low-light environment with constant bursts of flash. You know your dog's comfort level best.

No, I only provide high-resolution digitals as part of my photography service.

Yes, you can purchase extra edits for $40+ HST per photo, and the proof gallery for a $100 + HST fee.

Yes! I provide a home shoot option for all of my packages. For the Ottawa/Gatineau region, it's an additional $150 fee. For other locations (Cornwall, Kingston, Montreal etc.) it's a $250 fee.

If baby is fussy and isn't cooperating during the shoot, we will do our best to make sure that we create sufficient photos during the session in line with the package you've chosen. We regularly take breaks to give baby time to calm down if needed and take extra mesaures to make sure it's a smooth process. In cases where baby is simply not cooperating for certain poses (ex: refuses to close eyes), we do not push limits and will move on to other poses. Though I must note that such a scneario is very very rare.

Yes, absolutely! We'll do our best to capture that poses, but at the end of the day it is the baby that decides what we are and are not able to capture. :)
