I've curated a comforting studio space in Ottawa for newborn babies. For me, it's not just about capturing photographs, it's about capturing memorable family moments.

What to Expect in a Newborn Photography Session?


Once you book a session, you can count on me for a smooth experience that is enjoyable and tailored to the comfort of your newborn baby. 


After your booking, you will receive a detailed client guide which will not only answer your questions, but also provide you with details on what to expect from your photoshoot and the timelines for edits, as well giving you plenty of example photos for outfits and poses.


The studio includes a variety of props and setups, all designed and carefully picked to make your baby's photoshoot perfect. Before you arrive, you will receive a pre-shoot questionnaire where you can tell me some of your preferences.


The studio will be prepared based on your answers to the pre-shoot questionnaire. You and your little one will enjoy spending time in a warm and cozy atmosphere.

All props and accessories are always provided at the studio with each package. You don't need to bring anything for the baby.

Extra edits can be purchased for $40 + HST per photo. The Proof Gallery (all unedited photos) can be purchased for a $100 + HST fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to schedule a newborn photography session?

The best time to schedule a newborn photography is a few months before your due date to ensure availability and to avoid last minute scrambling.

The ideal window for a newborn shoot is within the first 7-14 days but of course this isn't a strict window. Just keep in mind that posing becomes increasingly more difficult with each day after the first two weeks.

How does booking the newborn shoot in advance work?

We recommend clients book their newborn sessions at least 2-3 months in advance to ensure availability. We will tentatively book your newborn shoot for 10 days after your due date. This is a tentative booking, and simply a placeholder in the calendar.

We ask that you notify us within 24/48 hours after delivery, along with baby’s weight. We will adjust your shoot date based on when your baby arrives, and baby’s weight.

Advance booking means that your spot is guaranteed regardless of the baby arriving earlier or later than expected. It’s a hassle-free process, giving you complete peace of mind.

What should we bring to the newborn photography session?

You don't need to bring anything for the baby other than what you bring with you for any other outing. My studio is fully equipped with a very large selection of props, outfits, and accessories to create beautiful, unique images.

How long does a typical newborn photography session last?

My priority is your baby's comfort, and we'll take breaks as needed to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience for you and your newborn.

I really don't watch the clock during shoots, and take my time with each careful pose. Typically we are looking at anywhere between 1-2 hours for a newborn session. Longer if there are siblings involved. :)

Can other family members be included in the newborn photography session?

Yes, other family members like grandparents are welcome to join the session. Every additional individual is priced at $50 + HST per person. Just let us know in advance, and we'll plan accordingly.

How should we prepare our newborn for the photo session?

You really don't need to do anything different or special before your shoot. Of course, a well-fed and sleepy baby is more likely to be calm and cooperative during the shoot but we will take breaks and work with the baby during the session to ensure that.

Ideally, dress your baby in loose-fitting clothing to avoid marks on their skin, and if possible, avoid putting any tight socks or hats on them prior to the session.
